Prof. Mitsuteru Inoue

Prof. Mitsuteru Inoue was born in 1958. He received Ph.D degree from Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT) in 1989. He was an associated professor of Research Institute of Electrical Communication and now, he is a full professor of Department of Electrical & Electronic Eng., TUT. He is also a visiting professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University, USA, and Faculty of Physics, Moscow State University, Russia. He is the director of TS-Photon Corp., Japan. He is a chairman of Investigation Committee on Nano-scaled Magnetic Materials, IEE Japan, a council of Magnetics Society of Japan, and a core member of JSPS Amorphous-Nano Material Committee. And also, he is a Vice President of Toyohashi University of Technology.
His research interests are in the fields of magnetics-based functional materials developments, such as magnetophotonic crystals, nano-composite materials, and the likes, and their applications such as holographic data storage, optical switches, spatial light modulators, unwire SAW sensing system, 3D display and so on. He has published more than 150 papers. He has collected a couple of awards and prizes including Ichimura-Academic Award, Funai Information Science and Technology Award, and Ando Memorial Award for Young Scientists.
